FARR

My earliest known FARR ancestor was William FARR, father of Elizabeth, who married William NUTTING, a mariner, at St Mary the Virgin, Dover, in 1815, and Mary, who married William BEER on 7 February 1815 at St. James, Dover. I am descended from the marriage of two of their children: William BEER and Elizabeth NUTTING.

William FARR married Rebecca MUMMERY at Buckland (Dover) on 29^th May 1785. They had a total of 12 children.

We know very little of this family, except that there was a distant cousin, "Nurse Farr", who was a midwife in Dover in the early 1900s. We have a photograph of her and a few brief notes, but nothing else.
